Bell Ringer: We shared our homework


Task 1: Listened to song/watched video and followed along with the lyrics
Task 2: Google docs Songs and Myths - wrote response : How doe sthe song connect to Aphrodite - what is the message? how does the song explain the relationship between the mortals and the gods?

Task 3: Discussed Joan of Arc and Cleopatra

Task 4: Talked about message of video


Homework: Pick a Mythology character (god, goddess, hero) and find a song that matches up with the character (refers to their name or a trait about them)
Write a minimum mof 5 lines explaining two ways in which the song connects to your god, goddess, or character. You need to include the title and artist/group, but you do not need to include all of the lyrics nor the video. You can include some of the lyrics in your response - make sure they are in quotes and add a (artist). after the quote.

Homework: Read " Why Bats Hang Upside Down" and complete characteristic and element chart. This must be completed tonight - if not you will be with me in FLEX/lunch tomorrow. Homework: Compare and Contrast Middle School and Elementary School. You can choose a more challenging practice and compare the myth about rain to the informational article about rain. You may use my graphic organizer posted her or create a Venn Diagram as shown in class. I will post the myth at the end of the day, but the article is here. This needs to be completed for tomorrow.


5TH PERIOD- PICK A SONG OR POEM THAT DESCRIBES ONE OF THE GODS OR GODDESSES.
